Third Team All PSAC Selection . . . led the Griffins with 125 blocks which was the third most in the PSAC . . . finished the season with 213 kills, hitting .293 . . . added 39 digs and an ace . . . posted a season high 14 kills against Gannon . . . finished with 8 kills and 0 errors along with a career high 9 blocks in the PSAC Semifinal win over Shippensburg . . . had 12 matches with at least 5 blocks . . . had 4 double figure kill matches
2017 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 11 matches, playing in 14 sets . . . finished the season with 7 kills, 3 digs and 2 blocks
2016 (Freshman)
Appeared in 21 matches, playing 39 sets . . . finished the season with 25 kills, 19 blocks and 6 digs . . . had a career high 6 kills in the win over Cheyney . . . had a career high 3 blocks against Northwood
Before SHU
Hanson was a three year varsity player and a senior captain at Bethel Park. She was named All State, All WPIAL and All Section after her senior season. Jess was a first team All Section and second team All WPIAL selection after her junior season. Hanson also lettered in track and field at Bethel Park. She was a member of the National Honor Society. Jess plays for the Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball Association Premier Team. She also performed at studio benefits for Children's Hospital and choreographed a musical to raise money for Make a Wish.
