Richmond comes to SHU after a successful season as Assistant Coach at Penn State New Kensington, where he helped them to their best finish in several years and an appearance in the semi final of the conference playoffs.

Richmond moved to the United States almost 10 years ago from England, where he worked for 4 professional clubs as a Youth Head Coach and Goalkeeper Coach and as a Head Coach and Assistant Coach for 2 semi professional clubs.

After finishing high school, he spent a year as a professional player and then 11 years as a semi professional player, he then continued to play for several more years in adult leagues. During his playing career, he played in 5 different countries.
He has the UEFA 'B' coaching license,  FA Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeper licenses, Level 1 & 2 FA Psychology Diplomas and is a licensed Speed & Agility coach. He is currently waiting to take the USSF 'B' license in Kansas later this year.

He is currently the Director of the Pre Olympic Development Program in Western Pennsylvania and the College Prep Phase Leader at Hotspurs Soccer Club. He has coached at several local High Schools with both the boys and the girls programs.
