Jim Klipa enters his first season as a member of Seton Hill University’s coaching staff. He was raised in Plum, PA, where he attended Plum High School. After high school, Klipa attended Robert Morris College, before finishing up his schooling and collegiate playing career at Westminster College. While at Westminster, he was a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Klipa began his coaching career following graduation as an assistant coach at West Mifflin Area High School during the 2001-2002 basketball season. That year, West Mifflin reached the PIAA Class AAA Boys State Championship game. He also coached at West Mifflin as an assistant and head JV coach during the years of 2001 – 2003, and again from 2006 – 2009. He was also an assistant coach at Gateway High School during the 2007-2008 season, and last season for the West Mifflin Area High School girls team.
Klipa has also participated as a player and/or coach in the Serb National Federation national basketball tournament over the past 25 years. In addition to coaching at Seton Hill, Klipa currently works as the Library Media Specialist at the West Mifflin Area Middle School in West Mifflin, PA. He currently resides in Plum, PA with his wife Adriana.
