Chris Nwandu is entering his first season on the Seton Hill men’s basketball staff in 2025–26.
Nwandu will work primarily with the Griffins’ centers and assist on the defensive side of the ball. He brings with him five years of collegiate coaching experience, including a successful run at Penn State Harrisburg. During his time there, he helped lead the Lions to two conference championships, two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, and the most wins in program history in 2024. His recruiting efforts helped secure multiple NABC Honors Court players and a two-time All-American candidate and Player of the Year.
Coach Wilkins on Nwandu:
“I had the privilege of coaching Chris’s brother, Khalid, at Mount St. Mary’s, so I know firsthand what kind of family he comes from. They are high-character people who care deeply about others. Chris brings that same high energy and passion to our program every day. We’re excited to add his experience, both as a player in the PSAC and as a proven coach, and I know he will make a big impact.”
As a player, Nwandu began as a walk-on at Shippensburg University, where he played two seasons (2016–17), winning a conference championship his senior year. He graduated from Shippensburg with a degree in economics. Prior to college, he was a standout at Northeastern High School, where he was a YAIAA All-Star and earned first-team all-league honorable mention.
