Chris Russell returns to the Seton Hill coaching staff in 2025 as the offensive line coach and video coordinator.
Russell spent the past two seasons as an offensive assistant at the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to Pitt, Russell spent two seasons as the running back and tight end coach at Seton Hill. Under his tutelage, Logan Wiland was one of the most productive running backs in all of college football during the 2021 campaign. Wiland rushed for 1,236 yards to lead the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and rank 14th nationally.
Russell’s additional coaching experience includes two years at Connellsville Area High School, where he worked with the running backs and defensive backs. He also served as head junior varsity coach.
Russell himself played running back at Marietta College. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biological engineering at Penn State in 2019 and also earned a master’s degree in education from Seton Hill in 2023.
