Krista Archambeau returns to Seton Hill University for her second season as an assistant coach after four season as an assistant at the Division III level. After a spectacular four year career as a standout for the Griffins field hockey team, Archambeau spent three seasons as an assistant at St John Fisher before spending last season as the assistant coach at Ithaca College.
Archambeau was a four year starter and a team captain for the Griffin field hockey team. Over her career, she scored 37 goals and added 26 assists for 100 career points. She had her most successful season in 2009 when she finished sixth in the country in points per game (2.0) and seventh in goals per game (.84). She scored 16 goals and added 6 assists during her junior season. Krista closed out her college career by being selected to play in the 2010 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior Game.
She joined the St. John Fisher College field hockey program in 2011 during the team's inaugural season. During her three seasons at St John Fisher, the program improved from 2 wins in their first season to 10 wins and an appearance in the Empire 8 Field Hockey Championship game in 2013.
Archambeau played varsity field hockey, softball, and basketball at East Rochester High School and is a two-time state champion in field hockey. She earned All-State Tournament and All-Monroe County honors, and was selected Player of the Year for Monroe County field hockey.
The East Rochester, NY native received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Family Studies from Seton Hill. Archambeau will be working on her MBA in Sports Management while coaching.
