Emma Simmers

Emma Simmers returns to Seton Hill for her third season on the sideline with the women's lacrosse program in 2023.

Last season, the Griffins won their second straigh PSAC Western Division title and hosted the PSAC Tournament for the first time.  SHU also earned their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.  

During her first full season with the Griffins, the team won their first ever PSAC Western Division title.  The team advanced to their second consecutive NCAA Postseason Tournament.  

Simmers is no stranger to the women's lacrosse program as she was a standout player for the Griffins in the middle of last decade.  Emma completed her career in the 2015 season as is one of the most decorated players to ever play for the Griffins. 

Simmers ended her career with 215 goals and 66 assists.  She scored seven game winning goals and finished her career with 242 ground balls, 270 draw controls and 140 caused turnovers.  Emma scored 61 goals as a junior and 68 goals as a senior. 

She was honored twice by the IWLCA as an All American, earning second team honors following her junior and senior seasons.  Simmers also earned IWLCA First Team All Region honors during her junior and senior campaigns.  Emma was a two time All PSAC First Team performer and was an All ECC Selection as a sophomore.Â
