ABCA (1st), Daktronics (2nd), and NCBWA (2nd) All Region Selection . . . PSAC West first team selection . . . made 16 appearances with 12 starts . . . finished the season with a 9-2 record and a 1.82 ERA . . . threw 74.1 innings, giving up 55 hits while striking out 54 . . was a part of two shutouts and held hitters to a .209 batting average . . . earned the win in the first round of the NCAA Atlantic Regional, outdueling previously undefeated Dan Altavilla in a 4-1 win (gave up 1 run on 6 hits in 7.2 innings) . . . earned the victory in the first round of the DII Baseball Championships against Minnesota State (gave up 2 runs on 6 hits in 5 ininngs)

2013 (Freshman)
made 12 appearances with 4 starts . . . finished the season with a 4-0 record, 3 saves and a 3.89 ERA . . . pitched 34.2 innings, giving up 33 hits while striking out 35 . . . held opponents to a .250 batting average . . . earned first collegiate win vs Clarion on 3/14, went 5 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits . . . earned a save in the Griffins opening round win vs Shippensburg in the NCAA Atlantic Regional (5/16)

Before SHU
a two-year letter winner at Peters Township, logged 5 saves as the closer for the 19-3 Indians in 2011 . . . split summer between the Peters Twp. Legion and the Sports Zone Red Sox . . . Bittel's 4-0 mark with the PT Legion included two no-hitters en route to a 0.00 ERA for the season . . . He also notched 4 wins and one save with the Red Sox while posting a 2.17 ERA.
