Coach Cronin

Timothy Cronin

Timothy Cronin will return for his third year with the Seton Hill baseball program in the 2022 season as the team's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.

Last season, the Griffins advanced to the second NCAA Division II Baseball Championships.  SHU finished the season with a 39-8 overall record.  The team ended the season with a 3.22 ERA which led the PSAC and was third in Division II.  

In his first season with the Griffins, the team posted a 9-4 record with a 3.90 ERA in a shortened season.  

Cronin spent the past two seasons at Heidelberg as the pitching coach under former Griffin Chad Fitzgerald.  At Heidelberg, Cronin helped the Student Princes to the NCAA Division III World Series in 2019.  The team won a share of the OAC regular season title before winning the Mideast Regional and Mideast Super Regional titles to advance to the World Series. 

He coached seven All Conference selections and two All Region selections while at Heidelberg.  Cronin also is an assistant coach for the Saugerties Stallions in the Perfect Game Summer Collegiate League.

As a pitcher at SUNY-Oswego, Cronin helped the team to the Division III World Series as a senior in 2017.  He was named SUNYAC Co-pitcher of the Year as he went 9-2 during his senior campaign.  He also earned All ECAC and All NY Region honors in 2017.  Timothy was named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2014.

Cronin graduated from SUNY-Oswego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with minors in Athletic Coaching and Business Administration.  He earned his MBA from Heidelberg.
