Derek Reddy joins the Griffins staff after a five-year professional playing career across five independent leagues. After earning league MVP accolades in the Pecos League in 2018, Reddy bounced between Milwaukee in the American Association and Washington in the Frontier League in 2021 before finishing his career with the Lexington Legends in the Atlantic League. Reddy held a career .300 average with a .441 OBP and 89% success rate in stolen bases during his five professional seasons.
He graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2016, where he played both baseball and football. His post playing career has included hitting instructors positions at TBT Training in Boca Raton, FL in 2022 and most recently at C-Side Sports in Washington, PA. Derek will work with the SHU hitters and outfielders, and assist with baserunning instruction.
