Before SHU
Gerhard will be a 4-year letter winner in both baseball and basketball at Derry and 3-year member of the honor roll.  Gerhard hit .404 with 18 RBI and 6 extra base hits for Derry HS as a junior and played for All-American Baseball Academy and coach Dan Ninemire in the summer.
