Opponents hit just .211 off him . . . finished the season with a 9-1 record and a 1.79 ERA . . . in his 90 2/3 innings, he gave up 25 runs (18 earned) on 71 hits while striking out 84 . . . also threw 6 complete games including 2 shutouts . . . threw a complete game, one hitter vs Shepherd in the opening game of the NCAA Atlantic Regional . . . pitched a complete game, two hitter in the win over California (PA)
