Men's Soccer Opens PSAC West Play with Win over the Rock

Seton Hill opened PSAC West play as they hosted Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg.

The Griffins scored a pair of second half goals in route to a 2-0 victory over the Rock.  SHU is now 3-3-2 overall and 1-0 in the west.  The Rock falls to 2-2-3 overall and 0-1 in the west.  

Neither team was able to score in a first half that was filled with cards and fouls.  Each team registered five shots.  The Rock led with 10 fouls in the half to five for the Griffins.  There were also four cards handed out in the half.  

SHU broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 63rd minute.  Paul Eder scored the opening goal with an assist from Rafael Santos.  The Griffins put the game away with a late goal in the final minute of the contest.  Rowan Aisenbrey scored on an assist from Santos.  

Santos led the Griffins with four shots in goal.  Jannik Reiss made seven saves in the shutout win.

The Griffins will travel to Lock Haven on Saturday for another PSAC West contest.
