SHU Defeats PSAC West Leading Slippery Rock

The Griffins hosted Slippery Rock in a PSAC West contest on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.

Seton Hill scored a second half goal to defeat the PSAC West leading Rock by the score of 1-0.  SHU is now 3-3-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the west while the Rock falls to 5-2-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the west.  The loss ended a six game unbeaten streak for the Rock.  

Neither team was able to score in the first half of the contest.  

The Griffins got on the scoreboard in the 67th minute of the contest.  Kilee Coatney found Emily Oslosky at the top of the box and Oslosky slid a shot into the right side of the net for a 1-0 lead over the Rock.  

Rhys Caplinger made six saves, including one in the final minute on a free kick, for the shutout win.

The Griffins will travel to Indiana (PA) on Wednesday afternoon.
