The Seton Hill University women's basketball team has named
Christiane Frye as their assistant coach, head coach
Nick Volchok announced.
"Coming back to Seton Hill as a coach is an incredibly special opportunity," said Frye. "Beginning my coaching career at the school I attended has made this experience even more meaningful. Seton Hill is my second home and has played such an important role in my life as a student-athlete, so having the opportunity to give back to the program and help shape the next generation of student-athletes is something I'm extremely grateful for. I'm excited to bring everything I've learned through my own experiences into this program and help our players grow as basketball players and young women. Representing Seton Hill in a positive way is a priority for me, and I look forward to doing my part to continue building on the success of this program. I want to thank God for continuing to guide me and open doors throughout my journey. I'm incredibly grateful for my family and the constant love, support, and encouragement they have given me along the way. I also want to thank the Seton Hill administration and everyone who played a role in offering me this opportunity and trusting me to be part of this program. I don't take this opportunity for granted, and I'm excited to give back to a place that has given so much to me."
"Coach C is someone who understands what Seton Hill means to the people who have been a part of this program," added coach Volchok. "She was a great player here, and she knows firsthand the pride and investment that comes with wearing the Seton Hill jersey. She is an incredibly hard worker, she cares deeply about our student-athletes and she is fully invested in this University and the direction we are headed. She will oversee the player development of our guards, assist in both offensive and defensive implementation, scouting, recruiting and handle many of our daily operations. I'm extremely grateful for how well she executed all of our operations during my transition period here and I am so excited to have her by my side as we begin this next chapter of Seton Hill women's basketball together."
Over her four spectacular seasons with the Seton Hill women's basketball program, Frye scored 1,517 points. Christiane shot 42% from the field and 73% from the free throw line while hitting 103 career three pointers. Frye added 446 rebounds, 264 assists and 207 steals.
