7/3/2026 2:30:00 PM

Two Seton Hill athletic teams earned the Top Team GPA Award from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for their performance in the classroom during the 2025-2026 school year, the league announced on Friday.

The baseball and wrestling programs all earned the Top Team GPA Award.  The baseball team finished with a 3.502 GPA.  The wrestling program had a 3.267 team GPA.

The two Seton Hill athletic teams received the Top Team GPA Award from the PSAC for reaching the highest GPA among their sports across the conference, which includes 17 public and private institutions in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  This is the 15th season the league has awarded the Top Team GPA Award.

The awards, released at the conclusion of the academic year, honor the teams with the top cumulative team grade point average in each of the sponsored sports within the PSAC. The league hosts 23 championships, however, for the award purposes, indoor and outdoor track and field are counted as a single sport.

This is the ninth top team GPA award for the baseball program.   This is the third top team GPA award for the wrestling program.

Additionally, Griffin athletes finished the 2025-26 school year with a 3.448 GPA.  That mark was the fourth best in the league.

The women's cross country program finished second with a 3.750 team GPA.  The women's track program was also second with a 3.616 GPA.  Volleyball was also second with a 3.693 GPA.
