Over sixty percent of Seton Hill student athletes were honored as PSAC Scholar Athletes as 322 Griffins earned the award, the league office announced on Wednesday. Any student athlete from a sport with a PSAC Championship with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above is named to the list. East Stroudsburg led the league with 333 student athletes named to the list while Slippery Rock was second with 323. Seton Hill was tied for third with West Chester with 322 and Bloomsburg followed in fifth with 321. 62% of Seton Hill student athletes were named to the list. That was tied for the third highest percentage of student athletes in the league.
One hundred sixty SHU female athletes made the list, led by 31 members of the soccer program. Women's lacrosse was second with 29. 26 members of the cross country/track programs also earned the honor. Softball added 25 and volleyball finished with 19. Basketball finished with 16. Golf added eight while tennis added six.
One hundred sixty two male athletes earned the honor led by 47 members of the football team. Baseball was next with 42 athletes, followed by soccer with 27. Wrestling finished with 21. Cross Country/Track added 15 while basketball finished with ten.
Last season, Seton Hill had 302 student athletes (60% of student athletes) earn the PSAC Scholar Athlete Award.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced that 4,135 student-athletes from the league's institutions were named to the list during the 2025-26 academic year.
