The Griffin track and field teams got in final preparations for next weekend's PSAC Championships at the Marty Goldberg Invitational hosted by Allegheny College on Friday evening.
On the men's side,
Kaden Crump won the 1500 in a time of 4:05.07.
Shane Plante-King won the triple jump with a mark of 14.02 meters. Plante-King was also fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.36 meters. The Griffin 4x1 relay team of
Adam Piper,
Blaise Verrastro,
David Graef and
Jacy Willis finished first in a time of 41.43 seconds.
Hunter Thomas was third in the 5K with a time of 17:04.24. Piper placed fourth in the 100 in a time of 11.00.
Shaymus Stull was 9th in the long jump (6.23m).
Avery Askins was 9th in the 200 (23.01).
On the women's side,
Breeona Pheasant was first in the 100 in a time of 12.38 seconds.
Kaitlyn Guth won the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:04.97. Guth was also third in the 100 hurdles (15.32).
Bryce Murray was second in the 100 (12.57) and tenth in the long jump (4.78m).
Mackenzie McIntyre was second in the 200 in a time of 25.46 seconds. The 4x1 relay of Pheasant, Murray, Elisabeth Keaton and McIntyre was second in a time of 49.79 seconds.
Marissa Manko was fourth in the 5K in a time of 20:28.90 and
Katelyn Stravinsky was eighth (21:01.27).
The teams will compete in next week's PSAC Championships at Shippensburg.
