Seton Hill continued PSAC West action as they hosted Indiana (PA) on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.
IUP swept the Griffins with a pair of 5 inning wins. The Crimson Hawks won game one 14-0 and completed the sweep with a 12-3 win in game two. SHU is now 17-17 overall and 10-6 in the west.
The Crimson Hawks scored five times in the first and added four more in the second in game one. IUP added 5 more in the fourth.
IUP scored twice in the first of game two and added three more in the second for a 5-0 lead over the Griffins.
The Griffins scored three times in the bottom of the second inning.
Taylor Schmitt drew a leadoff walk.
Lacey Lynn singled and moved pinch runner
Chloe Orecchio to third on the play.
Abby Smearman followed with an RBI single.
Gabby Jaquay moved both runners up with a sacrifice bunt.
McKenna DeUnger added an RBI single to make it 5-2. Smearman later scored to cut the lead to 5-3.
IUP scored multiple runs in the final three innings.
Smearman and DeUnger each had two hits in game two.
SHU will travel to Point Park on Tuesday.
