The Griffin track and field teams spent the weekend in Pittsburgh at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
The two teams combined for 15 top eight finishes. The men's team finished with eight while the women's team finished with seven. Â
Nemani Moon led the women's team with a second place finish in the 800. She ran a time of 2:16.69.Â
Madelyn Fike was fourth in the 400 in a time of 58.44 while
Artemis Conaboy was eighth in the event in a time of 1:00.90.Â
Kaitlyn Guth was sixth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:05.33. Â
Marissa Manko was seventh in the 3K with a time of 11:33.13.Â
Breeona Pheasant was eighth in the 100 and 200. She ran 12.65 in the 100 and 26.55 in the 200. Â
Jacy Willis won the 400 in a time of 47.62 seconds. Willis was also a part of two relay teams. The 4x1 of
Devin Underwood,
Blaise Verrastro,
David Graef and Willis was second with a time of 42.73 seconds. The 4x4 of
Adam Piper, Verrastro,
Kaden Crump and Willis placed first in a time of 3:20.02. Verrastro was fourth in the 100 in a time of 11.01 seconds while Piper was sixth in a time of 11.06. Â
Dwight Sarver was fourth in the discus with a toss of 45.42m.Â
Cody Scherle was fifth in the javelin with a toss of 52.23m.Â
Bohdan Meyer was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 14.70m.Â
The Griffins will travel to Mount Union in two weeks. Â
