Seton Hill began their 2026 spring break trip in Winter Haven, Florida with a pair of games on Sunday afternoon.
The Griffins defeated Dominican (NY) 9-0 in game one and followed that with an 8-0, 5 inning win over Wilmington (DE) in game two. SHU is now 3-3 on the season.
Game one was scoreless for the first three innings. In the fourth,
Kassidy Wittig singled and moved to third on a double from
Shelby Telegdy.
Anna Kalkowski knocked in Wittig with a sacrifice fly as SHU took a 1-0 lead. SHU added another run in the sixth. Wittig drew a walk and scored on a Telegdy RBI double.
SHU put the game away with seven runs in the seventh.
Amber Wilkes drove in the first run with a single.
Chloe Orecchio followed with a two RBI double.
Lexie Washington drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run.
Rilie Moors added two more runs with a double.
Telegdy led the offense with two his.
Lacey Lynn earned the win in the circle. She allowed just one hit and struck out four.
Game two also remained scoreless until the fourth inning. SHU scored twice in the bottom of the fourth. Kalkowski singled to lead off the inning.
Maddie Miller singled and
Juliette Vybiral drew a walk to load the bases. Washington then followed with a two RBI single as SHU took a 2-0 lead.
SHU ended the game in the fifth with six runs. Telegdy, Kalkowski and Washington each had RBI singles. Wilkes and Wittig drew bases loaded walks to close out the game.
Kalkowski led the offense with 3 hits. Washington added two hits. Telegdy went the distance and allowed just three hits,
SHU continues play in Florida on Monday against SW Minnesota State and the University of Sioux Falls.
