The Griffin track and field teams competed in the Bob Shannon Invitational hosted by Denison University on Saturday afternoon in Granville, Ohio.
Angelo Allen had a pair of top two finishes in the field events. Allen was first in the weight throw with a toss of 17.20 meters. He was second in the shot put with a mark of 15.28 meters. Bohden Meyer also had a pair of top eight finishes in those two events. Meyer was sixth in the shot put (15.28m) and seventh in the weight throw (13.59m).
Dwight Sarver was eighth in the shot put with a mark of 13.85 meters.
Kamsi Obuekwe was eighth in the 800 in a time of 2:07.05.
Bryce Murray had a pair of top three finishes. She was third in the long jump with a mark of 4.90 meters. Murray was third in the 200 in a time of 26.96.
Baine Snyder had a pair of top eight finishes. Snyder was fifth in the high jump clearing 1.48 meters. Snyder was seventh in the pole vault, clearing 2.80 meters.
Anessa Pigula was third in the mile in a time of 5:41.89. Elisabeth Keaton was sixth in the long jump with a mark of 4.60 meters.
The teams will head to Grand Valley next weekend for the GVSU Big Meet.
