Seton Hill University President Mary C. Finger has announced the hiring of Cassidy Snider as the university's Head Volleyball Coach.
Snider replaces
Rick Hall who retired following the 2025 season. Hall won over 800 matches over his 41 year career on the Hill.
Snider spent last season as an assistant volleyball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In her one season at IUP, the Crimson Hawks advanced to the NCAA Atlantic Regional final after an appearance in the PSAC Tournament Semifinal.
"I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be named the next head volleyball coach at Seton Hill University," said Snider. "I am excited to carry on the culture while striving to continue to compete amongst the top teams in the PSAC. From day one, it's been clear how much the players and staff care about this program, and I'm eager to get to work. Roll Griffs!"
"I'm pleased to welcome Coach Snider to the Seton Hill Athletics family," said Vice President for Athletics Rosalie Carpenter. "She brings a vast amount of PSAC and Division II experience as a player and coach. Those experiences will certainly continue to help our program grow on and off the court."
Snider will be remembered as one of the best to ever wear a volleyball uniform after a spectacular four year career at Clarion. Cassidy was named PSAC West and Atlantic Region Freshman of the Year in 2021. Snider closed out her career as a two time PSAC West Athlete of the Year award winner. She was also named Atlantic Region Player of the Year following her final two seasons. Cassidy earned D2CCA First Team and AVCA Second Team All American honors following her junior and senior seasons.
The team also had a ton of success during Snider's four seasons. The Golden Eagles won the PSAC title in 2021 and were the NCAA Atlantic Region Champions in 2023 advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight in Pittsburgh.
Snider's name can be found atop many categories in the Clarion record book. She owns the Clarion career mark for kills (2,033), kills per set (4.62) and points (2249.5). Cassidy is also fourth in all time hitting percentage at .267. Snider also holds the top two spots in single season kills with 606 and 601. Her 37 kills vs WV State are a single game best as well.
Cassidy has also spent time on the club scene as a coach at A-10 Volleyball Club and Elevate Volleyball Club.
Snider graduated from Clarion with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management.
