For the fifth time in six seasons, the Seton Hill baseball team was selected as the preseason favorite in the PSAC West Baseball Preseason Polls.  The poll was released by the league office on Thursday afternoon and was voted on by the head baseball coaches in the league.

Seton Hill earned six of the eight first place votes to top the PSAC West preseason coaches poll.  Slippery Rock earned the other two first place votes and was second.  Indiana (PA), California (PA) and Gannon round out the top five.  Clarion, Pitt Johnstown and Lock Haven are sixth thru eighth in the west.  

Defending Atlantic Regional champ East Stroudsburg earned six of the eight first place votes to top the poll in the east.  Defending PSAC Champion Millersville earned the other two first place votes and were second.  West Chester, Shippensburg and Shepherd round out the top five.  Bloomsburg, Kutztown and Mansfield complete the poll.  

Seton Hill will open the 2026 season with a three game set in Wingate, NC against Findlay on February 14 and 15.  The Griffins will travel to Charleston, WV the following weekend before heading to Florida for Spring Break the first week in March.  PSAC West play begins the weekend of March 20-21 with a four game set with Slippery Rock.  SHU closes out PSAC West play against Clarion the weekend of April 30 and May 1.  The PSAC Tournament will be played in Slippery Rock with the NCAA Atlantic Regionals and Super Regionals to follow in mid to late May.  The 2026 NCAA Baseball Championships will be in Cary, NC from May 30-June 6.
