Softball Fourth in the PSAC West Preseason Coaches Poll

The Griffin softball team has been picked fifth in the PSAC West according to the PSAC Softball Coaches Preseason Poll.  The poll was released by the league office on Wednesday afternoon and was voted on by the head softball coaches in the league.

Slippery Rock earned four of the eight first place votes to top the western division poll.  IUP earned three place vote and were second.  Gannon earned the other first place vote and was third.  Seton Hill and California (PA) fill out the middle of the poll.  Clarion, Pitt Johnstown and Edinboro round out the top eight.  

East Stroudsburg earned six of the nine first place votes to top the eastern division poll.  Shippensburg earned two first place votes and was second.  Kutztown earned the final first place vote and was third.  Kutztown was fourth.  West Chester, Bloomsburg, Shepherd, Millersville, Lock Haven and Mansfield rounded out the poll.  

Seton Hill will open the 2026 season in Glenville, WV at the Glenville State Invitational.  SHU will head to Florida for the Spring Games the first week of March.  The Griffins will play in the WV Wesleyan Tourney in Salem, VA on March 14 and 15 and SHU will then host Point Park on March 17.  PSAC West play begins on March 20 with a doubleheader at California (PA).  SHU closes out PSAC West play against Edinboro on May 2nd.  The PSAC Tournament will be played in Binghamton, NY on May 6-9.
