After reaching the NCAA Division II Atlantic Super Regionals for the third straight year last season, the Griffin baseball team begins the 2026 season at number 20 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II Preseason Poll. Seton Hill won their Atlantic Regional at Millersville before falling to East Stroudsburg in the Supers. The Griffins finished the season with a 40-18 overall record.
Defending national champion Tampa earned all 20 first place votes and topped in the poll. Central Missouri and UT Tyler were second and third. Northwest Nazarene and Catawba rounded out the top five. Other Atlantic Regional teams in the poll include East Stroudsburg at number seven and Millersville at #22. West Chester is receiving votes in the poll.
The Griffins will take on #11 Minnesota State on their spring trip.
Seton Hill will open the 2026 season with a three game set in Wingate, NC against Findlay on February 14 and 15. The Griffins will travel to Charleston, WV the following weekend before heading to Florida for Spring Break the first week in March. PSAC West play begins the weekend of March 20-21 with a four game set with Slippery Rock. SHU closes out PSAC West play against Clarion the weekend of April 30 and May 1. The PSAC Tournament will be played in Slippery Rock with the NCAA Atlantic Regionals and Super Regionals to follow in mid to late May. The 2026 NCAA Baseball Championships will be in Cary, NC from May 30-June 6.
