Seton Hill hosted their first matches of the season as they hosted the SHU Tri Meet on Tuesday evening in the McKenna Center.  

The Griffins hosted Shippensburg in a PSAC West dual before hosting Wheeling in the third match of the evening.   

SHU defeated Shippensburg by the score of 31-9 and then defeated Wheeling 28-15 to go 2-0 on the day.  SHU is now 5-1 in dual matches and 1-1 in PSAC duals on the season.  

The Griffins took an early 7-3 lead in the Shippensburg match after a win from Jacob Sombronski by major decision and one by decision from Youssef Abdelsalam.  SHU increased their lead to 18-3 after a tech fall win from Ty Linsenbigler and a win by fall from Mike Zacur.  The Griffins also got a win by decision from Kane Kettering and a win by major decision from Troy McClelland.  Ritchie McCormack earned a win by forfeit.  

Jacob Houpt gave the Griffins a quick 4-0 lead after a win by major decision to open the Wheeling match.  SHU then took a 10-9 lead after a win by forfeit from Linsenbigler.  Zacur then won a hard fought decision in sudden victory at 157 pounds which increased the Griffins lead to 13-9.  SHU then got a medical forfeit win from Christian Hirak and a forfeit win from Kettering.  McClelland won the final match of the night for the Griffins with a decision win at 184 pounds.  

SHU will travel to Pitt Johnstown on Friday evening for another PSAC dual match.
