The Seton Hill women's lacrosse team opens the season as the number 17 team in the country in the International Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Coaches Poll.  It is the seventh time since the 2016 season that the Griffins were ranked in the preseason poll.  The Griffins opened 14th during the 2016 season, were 21st prior to the 2020 season, were 18th prior to the 2022 season, were 14th in the 2023 poll and were 23rd in last two season's preseason polls.  

Last season, the Griffins finished with an 13-6 overall record and an 8-2 mark in PSAC West play.  The Griffins advanced to the PSAC Semiinals before falling to West Chester.  

Defending national champion Tampa topped the poll.  National runner up Adelphi was second.  Florida Southern, West Chester and UIndy round out the top five.  

The Griffins will face five teams this season who are in the top 25.  SHU will open the season on the road at #14 East Stroudsburg.  The Griffins will then host #18 Grand Valley State.  SHU will play #16 Wingate on their spring trip.  The Griffins will play #8 Slippery Rock twice in the season.  SHU will also face IUP twice who is receiving votes.
