The Griffin men's soccer team continued non conference play as they hosted WV Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg.
WV Wesleyan scored a pair of first half goals as they defeated the Griffins by the score of 2-0. SHU falls to 4-2 while WV Wesleyan improves to 2-4.
It did not take the Bobcats long to score as they took advantage of a Griffin turnover in the midfield and scored just 1:15 into the contest. At the 15:07 mark of the first half, the Bobcats extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal off a free kick.
The Bobcats were able to hold off a barrage of Griffin shots in the second half as they outshot WV Wesleyan 15-4 but could not find the back of the net.
Julian Marker led SHU with two shots on goal.
The Griffins travel to Shippensburg on Saturday for another PSAC West contest.
