Seton Hill student athletes continue to receive awards for their performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 school year.  On Thursday, two hundred and eight Griffins were named to the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards List.  Seton Hill had the third most student athletes named to the list in the PSAC behind East Stroudsburg with 242 and Slippery Rock with 209.  

The Academic Achievement Award program recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. In order to receive the Academic Achievement Award, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years of college and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.

In total, 22,756 student-athletes from 202 institutions were recognized for the 2024-25 Academic Achievement Awards. For the fifth straight year the conference leader was the PSAC with 2,051 followed by the South Athletic Conference (SAC) with 1,755.  
 
Seton Hill was one of 15 PSAC schools to have student-athletes recognized. Bloomsburg, California (PA), Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Gannon, Indiana (PA), Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Pitt Johnstown, Shepherd, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock and West Chester joined the Griffins on the list.

The D2ADA is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities; enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics; and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of Division II athletics directors.
