Seton Hill University Men's Lacrosse Head Coach
Brian Novotny is excited to announce the hiring of
Kevin Steele as the newest member of the Griffins' coaching staff.
Coach Steele joins Seton Hill after spending the past six years as an assistant coach at Middle Creek High School. During his tenure, Middle Creek captured the 2022 4A State Championship and reached four Eastern Regional Finals. Over the past three seasons, Coach Steele worked primarily with the faceoff specialist unit, developing two First Team All-State honorees. He has also coached with Team 91 Carolina, further expanding his experience in player development.
Coach Novotny on Coach Steele:
"Coach Steele separated himself during our hiring process. His mature and measured approach was very impressive to our staff. Coach Holota has built a powerhouse at Middle Creek High School, and Coach Steele's experience there will be invaluable as he continues his coaching career here on The Hill."
Novotny continued: "We have an excellent tradition of success at the faceoff position at Seton Hill. Coach Steele's experience developing the faceoff position is a natural fit for our program. I believe our student-athletes and our team as a whole will benefit greatly from this hire."
Coach Steele holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from North Carolina State University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration.
