Seton Hill University President Mary C. Finger has announced the hiring of Mandy Sansbury as the university's Head Softball Coach.

Sansbury spent the previous two years as an assistant softball coach at Indiana University Indianapolis (IU Indy).

"I want to sincerely thank the search committee and the Seton Hill University community for the opportunity to lead the Griffin softball program," said Sansbury.  "I am truly honored to join an institution that holds such a strong tradition of academic and athletic excellence. I'm excited to build upon the program's established success and to work alongside student-athletes who strive for greatness both on the field and in the classroom. I look forward to contributing to a culture of integrity, hard work, and continued achievement."

"I'm pleased to welcome Coach Sansbury to the Seton Hill Athletics family," said Vice President for Athletics Rosalie Carpenter.  "She brings a lot of Division II experience as a player and coach that will certainly continue to help our program grow on and off the playing field."

While at IU Indy, Sansbury was the team's offensive coach.  In 2025, the Jags had athletes who led the Horizon League in batting average, on base percentage, hits, runs and stolen bases.  Mandy coached the 2025 Horizon League Player of the season in addition to four first team All Horizon League selections, two Horizon League Defensive Players of the Year and two All Freshman Team selections in the Horizon League.

Prior to IU Indy, Sansbury spent nine seasons as a head coach at Division II Mount Olive where she finished with a record of 247-174.  She led the team to the 2022 Conference Carolinas Regular season championship.  In her nine seasons, the team broke 24 school records while having 37 players named to the All Conference Carolinas Team.  Sansbury coached two Conference Carolinas Pitchers of the Year and one Conference Carolinas Player of the Year.  The team had five All Southeast Region selections in addition to four All American selections.  Sansbury's teams also excelled in the classroom with over 50 All Conference Carolinas Academic Team selections and over 75 student athletes being named to the Mt Olive Presidents Honor Roll.

Sansbury also spent three seasons as head coach at Division II Glenville State where she led the Pioneers to their winningest season in school history in 2013.  She began her coaching career as an assistant for five seasons at the University of West Georgia.

Sansbury played three seasons at Division II Ashland before transferring to WV Wesleyan for her final season.  At Ashland, Mandy was an All GLIAC catcher in addition to earning first team All Region honors.  At WV Wesleyan, she was named to the WVIAC All Tournament team.  Sansbury was also a three time NFCA Scholar All American.

Sansbury graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education from WV Wesleyan.  Mandy earned a Masters of Education in Physical Education from the University of West Georgia and then earned a Post Masters Certification in Sport Psychology from California University of PA.
