For the fourteenth time in school history and fifth consecutive season, the Seton Hill baseball team will play in the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament.
The Griffins earned an at large bid and the fifth seed in the Atlantic Region. Seton Hill, who finished the season with a 37-15 record, will meet the fourth seed in the region, California (PA) (38-13) in a first round matchup in Atlantic Regional #1. SHU and CalU will play at 11 AM on Thursday. The number one seed and host of Atlantic Regional #1 is PSAC Champion Millersville (42-8). The Marauders will host Regional #1 at Cooper Park in Millersville, PA. The loser of the CalU/SHU match will play Millersville at 2 PM on Thursday.
The other regional in the Atlantic Region, Atlantic Regional #2 will also be a three team regional and will be played at second seed West Chester (35-15). Three seed East Stroudsburg (35-14) will take on sixth seed Fairmont State (26-26) in the first round matchup.
The two regional winners will meet in the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional on May 23-25. The eight regional winners will advance to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships at the USA Baseball Training Facility in Cary, NC from May 30-June 7.
