Brenny Wins PSAC Championship

Women 8th, Men 9th at PSAC Championships

The Griffin track and field teams closed out competition in the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Day Three of the event on Saturday in Slippery Rock.

The women's team was led by Haley Brenny who won a PSAC title in the 400 hurdles.  The women finished eighth overall with 47 points.  The men's team finished ninth with a total of 32.5 points.  Slippery Rock won the women's title with 171 points.  East Stroudsburg won the men's title with 165.5 points.  

Brenny won the PSAC title with her fastest time of the season.  She ran a time of 59.81 seconds.  That time is one of the 15 best times in Division II this season.  

Layla Robertson was second in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:02.43,  Keelin Becker was sixth in that event with a time of 1:04.43.  Kate Pipilo was 3rd in the 1500 in a time of 4:40.40.  Nemani Moon placed fourth in the 400 in a time of 56.18 seconds.  

The 4x4 relay team of Gianna Sturdivant, Robertson, Brenny and Moon were second.  They finished with a time of 3:49.27.  

Jacy Willis had a pair of top five finishes on Saturday.  He was second in the 400 with a time of 47.59 seconds and fifth in the 200 in a time of 21.47.  

Kaden Crump was fifth in the 800 with a time of 1:55.45.  Malwandla Baloyi was sixth in the high jump.  He cleared the bar at 2.00 meters.  Blaise Verrastro was seventh in the 400 in a time of 49.21 seconds,  Angelo Allen was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 15.72 meters.  

The 4x4 relay team of Gaige Grassmyer, Verrastro, Devin Underwood and Willis was fifth overall.  They ran a time of 3:17.61.
