The Seton Hill track and field teams headed to Slippery Rock on Saturday for the Dave Labor Invitational at Slippery Rock University,
The teams combined for twenty top ten finishes on the day. The men's team finished with 12 while the women's team added eight. Â
Jacy Willis,
Blaise Verrastro and
Angelo Allen each had two top ten finishes on the day. Willis was first in both the 200 and 400. He ran 21.35 in the 200 and 48.05 in the 400. Verrastro was third in the 400 and fourth in the 200. He ran 49.14 in the 400 and 21.80 in the 200. Allen was second in the hammer and eighth in the discus. Allen threw 52.71m in the hammer and 45.23m in the discus. Â
Dwight Sarver was second in the shot put with a toss of 12.39m.Â
Cody Achilles was fourth in the 1500 in a time of 4:04.69.Â
John Giansante was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.58m.Â
Roman Brenny was sixth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 58.48.Â
Devin Underwood was sixth in the 400 in a time of 50.49.Â
Cody Scherle was seventh in the javelin with a toss of 51.83m. Â
On the women's side,
Layla Robertson and
Keelin Becker had two top 10 finishes. Robertson was 5th in the 200 and 10th in the 200. She ran 1:00.20 in the 400 and 26.06 in the 200. Becker was 6th in the 400 hurdles and 9th in the 100 hurdles. She ran 1:06.13 in the 400 hurdles and 15.89 in the 100 hurdles. Â
Koschinya Jefferson was second in the discus with a toss of 44.07m. Gianna Sturdivant was seventh in the 400 in a time of 1:00.81.Â
Sarah Gilliam was eighth in the hammer with a toss of 44.13m.Â
Artemis Conaboy was 10th in the 400 with a time of 1:01.74. Â
The teams are scheduled to run at Bucknell next weekend. Â
