Track Teams Run in Ashland Alumni Opem

Seton Hill returned to the track after a week off for the Easter holiday by competing in the two day Ashland Alumni Open on Friday and Saturday in Ashland, OH.  

The teams combined for 25 top 10 finishes in the two day even.  The men had 15 while the women finished with 10.

On the women's side, the Griffins had three athletes earn a pair of top 10 finishes.  Nemani Moon was first in the 400 and then fourth in the 200.  She ran 56.89 in the 400 and 25.72 in the 200.  Haley Brenny was second in the 200 and fourth in the 400.  She ran 25.59 in the 200 and 57.57 in the 400.  Layla Robertson was ninth in the 400 and tenth in the 200.  She ran 1:00.16 in the 400 and 26.27 in the 200.  

Keelin Becker was fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.74 meters.  Nora Ozimek was eighth in the event with a mark of 10.08.  Anessa Pigula was sixth in the steeple chase.  She ran a time of 12:28.12.  Kate Pipilo was seventh in the 800 in a time of 2:22.09.  

On the men's side, Angelo Allen had three top 10 finishes.  He was third in the discus (46.62m), seventh in the hammer (50.62m) and eighth in the shot put (14.45m).  Jacy Willis and Blaise Verrastro each had two top 10 finishes.  Willis won the 400 in a time of 48.14 and was fifth in the 200 in a time of 21.92.  Verrastro was second in the 200 in a time of 21.80 and fifth in the 400 in a time of 48.84.  

John Giansante was second in the triple jump with a mark of 13.73m.  Cody Scherle was second in the javelin with a toss of 51.48m.  Cody Achilles was second in the steeple with a time of 9:30.93.  

Malwandla Baloyi was fourth in the high jump clearing 1.97 meters.  Kaden Crump was sixth in the 1500 in a time of 4:01.44.  Andrew Campbell was eighth in the 100 in a time of 12.22.  Jake Raulli was eighth in the steeple in a time of 11:30.21.  Dylan Brooks was ninth in the javelin with a toss of 45.15m.  

The Griffins will compete in the Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet next weekend.
