The Griffin track and field teams competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
The team set four new school records at the meet.
Kaden Crump was sixth in the mile in a time of 4:21.45 while setting a new school record.
Nemani Moon set a new record in the 400 with a time of 57.24.
Cody Achilles set a new mark in the steeple with a time of 9:32.76. The women's 4x4 of
Haley Brenny,
Layla Robertson, Gianna Sturdivant and Moon hit a new school record with a time of 3:51.59.
Haley Brenny led the women's team with a third place finish in the 400 hurdles. It was an NCAA provisional mark. She ran a time of 1:01.38.
Koschinya Jefferson was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.52 meters.
Kate Pipilo was seventh overall in the 1500. Kate ran a time of 4:43.08.
The men's 4x4 relay team of
Blaise Verrastro,
Devin Underwood,
Roman Brenny and
Jacy Willis was third overall with a time of 3:16.24.
Andrew Campbell led the men's team with a fourth place finish in the 100 meter dash. Andrew ran a time of 10.55.
Malwandla Baloyi was fifth in the high jump. He cleared the bar at 1.93 meters.
Ben Kissell was sixth in the pole vault, clearing 4.41 meters.
Cody Scherle placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 57.30 meters.
Jacy Willis was ninth in the 400 in a time of 48.86.
The teams will head to the 15th Ashland Alumni Open next weekend at Ashland University.
