Box Score Seton Hill kicked off their spring break trip on Monday evening with a matchup with #19 Florida Tech under the lights in Melbourne, Florida.
The Griffins used a 5-0 run in the first half and a 5-1 run in the second half as the defeated the Panthers 14-11. SHU is now 3-1 overall.
Florida Tech scored the first three goals of the contest as they built a 3-0 lead nine minutes into the quarter. SHU then responded with three goals in less than two minutes to tie the game at three with 1:20 to play in the quarter.
Mila Udovicic scored the first and third goal while
Carleigh Sutfin added the second goal.
The Griffins scored the first two goals of the second half as they extended their run to 5-0, taking a 5-3 lead.
Sydney Marusko scored less than a minute into the quarter and Udovicic scored her third with 11:54 left.
Skylar Orlowski scored with 4:09 to play to extend the Griffins lead to 6-4. Florida Tech scored the final two goals of the half to send the game to the half tied at six.
Orlowski answered a Panther goal to tie the score at seven with 12:44 to play.
Ruby DePalma gave SHU an 8-7 lead before Florida Tech tied the game at nine with 6:41 to play. SHU then ran off three goals in three minutes to take an 11-8 lead.
Grace Agnello, Orlowski and
Amara Forsyth scored for SHU. SHU led 11-9 after three quarters of action.
SHU scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 13-9.
Ella Wroblewski and Marusko scored as SHU led by four with 7:25 left.
Orlowski led the Griffins with 3 goals and 2 assists. Udovicic added 3 goals and an assist. Sutfin and Marusko added 2 goals. Agnello added a goal and assist.
