Box Score Seton Hill closed out its three game set with Tusculum on Monday afternoon with a single nine inning contest.
The Griffins completed the three game sweep with a 3-2 win on Monday. SHU is now 5-1 overall.
SHU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.Â
Brady McGuire opened the game with a leadoff double. McGuire scored on an RBI single from
Owen Henne. Tusculum used a double and sacrifice fly to tie the score at one in the bottom half of the inning. Â
Seton Hill retook the lead in the third inning. McGuire walked and moved to second on a wild pitch. Brady stole third and scored on a sacrifice fly from
Owen Mandler. The Griffins increased their lead to 3-1 in the sixth inning. Henne drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on a failed pick off attempt. Henne scored on a Mandler sacrifice fly. Â
McGuire reached base three times in the win and scored two runs. Mandler drove in two runs and Henne added the third RBI.Â
Ian Korn earned the win. He allowed a run on three hits in five innings.Â
Christian Zilli threw two scoreless innings.Â
Zach Herb threw the final two innings to earn the save.
SHU will host Bloomsburg this weekend in a three game series. Â
