Stribling Named PSAC West Freshman of the Year

Seven Griffins Earn All PSAC West Honors

Seton Hill freshman Anthony Stribling along with six other members of the team earned honors from the PSAC as the league announced its major award winners in addition to its All Conference Teams on Wednesday afternoon.  The teams are voted on by the league's head coaches. 

Leading the way for the awards was Stribling who was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year.

Seven members of the Seton Hill program earned All Conference honors.  Four earned first team honors and three earned second team honors.  Senior Ky'Ron Craggette was a first team selection at running back.  Junior Jackson Barton was a first team selection at center.  Graduate student Ben Weaver was a first team selection on the defensive line and senior Ritchie McCormack was a first team selection at linebacker.  Stribling earned second team All PSAC West honors on the defensive line.  Senior D'Kairi Boone was a second team selection at linebacker.  Senior Demetri Whitehead was a second team selection at defensive back.  

Craggette is now a three time first team selection.  McCormack is a two time first team selection.  Weaver is a two time all conference selection while Whitehead has two second team selections.  

Craggette rushed for 980 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.  He also added 22 receptions and a touchdown.  McCormack led the Griffins with 107 total tackles and 68 assisted tackles.  He added 12 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.  Ritchie was second in the PSAC in tackles.  Weaver finished with 49 total tackles.  He added 8 tackles for loss and 5 sacks.  

Stribling added 41 total tackles.  He led SHU with 14.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks.  Anthony led the PSAC in sacks and tied for the lead in tackles for loss.  Boone led the team with 50 solo tackles, ending with 88 total tackles.  He added 9 tackles for loss and 6 sacks.  Whitehead had 43 tackles with 1 interception and 7 pass breakups.
