For the first time since 2016, the Seton Hill men's soccer program hosted a PSAC Quarterfinal on campus as the Griffins hosted Bloomsburg in the PSAC Quarterfinal on Monday afternoon in Greensburg.
Bloomsburg was the third seed from the east while the Griffins were the second seed from the west.
Bloomsburg scored 5:09 into the first overtime period as they broke a scoreless tie to defeat the Griffins 1-0. SHU falls to 11-6-1 overall while Bloomsburg improves to 10-2-6. Â
Neither team found the back of the net in the first half. Bloomsburg outshot the Griffins 4-3 in the first half of action. Â
The teams did not find the back of the net in the second half as well. Bloom held a 4-2 advantage in shots in the second half. Â
The Huskies then used a long ball and a great bounce that fell to the feet of their forward who found the back of the net for the game winner at the 95:09 mark of the contest.
Bloomsburg advances to the PSAC Semifinals on Friday in Erie where they will play top seed from the east Millersville.Â
