Kendyl Wagner was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Wagner earned the award for her performance in the Griffins pair of wins over CalU last week.
Wagner helped the Griffins get a pair of PSAC West wins over CalU. Kendyl had a total of 54 digs in nine sets. She also added nine assists and five aces. Wagner set a new PSAC record scoring 16 consecutive points on serve as the Griffins took a 16-0 lead over CalU in the fourth set on Tuesday evening.
The Griffins return to action on Friday as they host Clarion.
