Seton Hill began the Charleston (WV) Tournament with a pair of matches on Friday in West Virginia

The Griffins battled Bloomsburg in the first match of the day on Friday afternoon then took on the host Golden Eagles in the evening match.

SHU opened the day with a sweep of Ursuline. Charleston defeated the Griffins by the score of 3-0 as SHU split the pair of matches. SHU is now 8-1 on the season.Â

The Griffins took the first set over Bloomsburg by the score of 25-15. SHU took a 2-0 lead with a 25-18 second set win. Seton Hill completed the sweep with a 25-23 third set win.

Catie Flohr led the Griffins with 11 kills.Â
Paige Cole and
Payton Rodberg finished with seven.Â
Abby Oesterling had 14 assists while
Ella Deeter added 12. Flohr led with four blocks and
Maddie Stout added 13 digs.  Â

Charleston defeated the Griffins 25-14, 25-23 and 27-25 in the sweep of the Griffins.

Cole led SHU with 13 kills. Rodberg added 11. Oesterling had 18 assists with Deeter adding 14.Â
Kendyl Wagner had 12 digs while Stout added 10.Â

The Griffins will return to action on Saturday at the Charleston (WV) Tournament against D'Youville and Bowie State. Â
