Seton Hill hosted Roberts Wesleyan in a non conference matchup on a rainy pitch at DSG Field in Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon.
SHU led 5-1 with a little over 22 minutes to play but Roberts Wesleyan scored the final four goals of the contest to tie the game at five. SHU is now 3-0-1 on the season. Â
Keegan Amos scored the lone goal of the first half as SHU took a 1-0 lead with just about six minutes to play in the half.Â
Esteban Moreira assisted on the goal. Â
The second half was very wild as the teams combined for nine goals. Just over two minutes into the half,
Nils Heinrich scored off a feed from
Vasilis Christodoulou as SHU took a 2-0 lead. Two minutes later, Roberts Wesleyan cut the lead to 2-1.Â
Ron Klinger headed in a
Brandon Knapp corner kick to extend the Griffin lead to 3-1. Just 34 seconds later, Julien Marker scored off a penalty kick to push the lead to 4-1 with a little over 27 minutes to play. With around 23 minutes to play,
James Aubrey extended the Griffins lead to 5-1. Christodoulou assisted on the goal. Â
Roberts Wesleyan scored a pair of goals nine seconds a part to cut the lead to 5-3 with 22 minutes to play. With about 18 minutes to play the Redhawks cut the lead to one at 5-4. Roberts Wesleyan tied the score with 3:55 to play. Â
Christodoulou had a pair of assists.Â
Aiden Hollander finished with four saves.
SHU will travel to WV Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon for another non conference matchup. Â
