Men's Soccer Plays to Wild 5-5 Tie

Seton Hill hosted Roberts Wesleyan in a non conference matchup on a rainy pitch at DSG Field in Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon.

SHU led 5-1 with a little over 22 minutes to play but Roberts Wesleyan scored the final four goals of the contest to tie the game at five.  SHU is now 3-0-1 on the season.  

Keegan Amos scored the lone goal of the first half as SHU took a 1-0 lead with just about six minutes to play in the half.  Esteban Moreira assisted on the goal.  

The second half was very wild as the teams combined for nine goals.  Just over two minutes into the half, Nils Heinrich scored off a feed from Vasilis Christodoulou as SHU took a 2-0 lead.  Two minutes later, Roberts Wesleyan cut the lead to 2-1.  Ron Klinger headed in a Brandon Knapp corner kick to extend the Griffin lead to 3-1.  Just 34 seconds later, Julien Marker scored off a penalty kick to push the lead to 4-1 with a little over 27 minutes to play.  With around 23 minutes to play, James Aubrey extended the Griffins lead to 5-1.  Christodoulou assisted on the goal.  

Roberts Wesleyan scored a pair of goals nine seconds a part to cut the lead to 5-3 with 22 minutes to play.  With about 18 minutes to play the Redhawks cut the lead to one at 5-4.  Roberts Wesleyan tied the score with 3:55 to play.  

Christodoulou had a pair of assists.  Aiden Hollander finished with four saves.

SHU will travel to WV Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon for another non conference matchup.
