The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its Spring Academic All District Teams on the past couple of weeks and Seton Hill University had thirty one student athletes earn the honor.
The CSC Academic All-America program replaces the former CoSIDA Academic All-America program after CoSIDA recently rebranded the organization as College Sports Communicators.
Senior tennis player
Kasey Storkel earned the award.  The softball team had five players earn Academic All District honors. Seniors
Mackenzie Zang,
Nina Grandey and
Lauren Dellett were joined by juniors
Brooke Cleland and
Grace Paredes. Three baseball players also earned the honor. Seniors
Matt Frazetta and
Brandon Bergert were joined by junior
Max Mandler. Â
The Griffin track and field/cross country programs had ten athletes earn the award. Graduate students Natasha Bernatt and Isabella McCabe were joined by seniors
Anna Roberts and
Sarah Gilliam and junior
Keelin Becker on the women's side. Senior
Andrew Campbell and
Ben Hartman, junior
John Giansante and sophomores
Xander Zilka and
Dwight Sarver were on the team from the men's side. Â
The At Large program features golf, lacrosse and wrestling programs. SeniorÂ
Riley O'Mara picked up the award for the wrestling program. Five men's lacrosse players also earned the At Large Academic All District honor. Graduate student
Peyton Gensler was joined by juniors
Justin Dian and
Alex Callahan along with sophomores
Carter Green and
Nate Herbster. On the women's side, junior golferÂ
Lauren Barber earned the honor. Five women's lacrosse players also earned the honor. Graduate student
Makayla Kintner along with juniors
Kara Gosnell,
Grace Agnello and
Giavonna Spadafora and sophomore
Amara Forsyth earned the award. Â
To qualify for the academic all-district honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and in athletic eligibility, must maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA or higher and must meet additional qualifications determined by each sport. Additionally, each institution is capped at a certain number of nominees in each of the Academic All District categories.
