Seton Hill continued play in the 2024 PSAC Softball Championships with an elimination contest against #15 East Stroudsburg at Veterans Park in Quakertown, PA on Friday afternoon.
East Stroudsburg scored a pair of runs in each of their final two at bats for a 5-1 victory over the Griffins. SHU ends the season with a 37-17 record.
The Warriors used a leadoff triple to take a 1-0 lead over the Griffins in the top of the first inning.
Seton Hill tied the game at one with a leadoff homer from
Camryn Murphy in the bottom of the fourth inning.
East Stroudsburg took advantage of a Griffin error and then used a double and single to take a 3-1 lead over the Griffins in the sixth inning.
The Warriors added two more in the seventh inning on a two run homer to center field.
Lauren Dellett struck out 11 hitters in the contest.
