Seton Hill continued play in the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional in Indiana at Dougherty Field as they battled the host IUP in game two of the supers.

Walks proved costly for the Griffins as four of the six IUP walks drawn scored in a 9-8 loss to the Crimson Hawks in game two of the supers. The series is tied 1-1 after the first two games. SHU is now 41-16 overall.Â

It did not take the Griffins long to get on the scoreboard as they scored in their first at bat in the bottom of the first inning. With one out,
Jack Oberdorf dropped a double on the right field line. He scored when
Owen Mandler tripled to the left center field gap to put the Griffins in front 1-0.Â

IUP got to the Griffin starter in the fourth inning as they singled four times and used three wild pitches and a passed ball to score five times and take a 5-1 lead over the Griffins.Â

Seton Hill answered right back in their half of the fourth inning.Â
Matt Frazetta doubled to lead off the inning. After a fly out,
Owen Sabol reached on an infield hit. Both runners moved up on a ground ball and then scored on a big two out, two RBI single from
Jakob Haynes to cut the lead to 5-3.Â

SHU tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. Frazetta doubled to lead off the inning. Two outs later,
Max Mandler hit a huge two out homer to left field on a 1-0 count to tie the game at five.Â

IUP took advantage of a pair of walks and a Griffin fielding error to retake the lead with a clutch two out RBI single on a 1-2 pitch as they took a 6-5 lead.Â
Max Mandler threw out the second runner at the plate to keep it a one run game.Â

The Griffins retook the lead in the bottom half of the seventh.Â
Noah Sweeney doubled and
Owen Henne was hit by a pitch. Oberdorf then doubled on a 2-0 pitch to put the Griffins in front 7-6.Â

IUP then took advantage of a pair of walks to lead off the eight inning. After two outs, they got a huge three run homer to left center on a 2-1 pitch to take a 9-7 lead over the Griffins.Â

SHU got one of those runs back in the bottom of the eighth. With one out,
Max Mandler tripled. He scored on a sacrifice fly from
Braden Durham to cut the lead to 9-8.Â

Oberdorf led the offense with three hits, including a pair of doubles and two RBI.Â
Max Mandler had two hits, a HR and 2 RBI. Frazetta and Sweeney each added two hits.

Game three of the series will be played on Sunday afternoon at 1 PM.  Â
