The Seton Hill track and field teams ran at the John Papa Invitational at Slippery Rock University on Thursday afternoon and evening.
The women's team finished with 15 top eight finishes and two first place finishes. The men had 13 top eight finishes and one first place finish.
Leading the way for the women was
Natasha Bernett who had two first place finishes, one second place and one third place finish on the day. Natasha was first in the 400 (58.50) and first in the 400 hurdles (1:01.61). She finished second in the high jump (1.65 meters) and third in the long jump (5.43 meters).
Haley Brenny,
Madelyn Fike and
Keelin Becker each had two top eight finishes. Fike was second in the 400 (59.03) and eighth in the 200 (26.01). Brenny was sixth in the 400 (59.67) and seventh in the 200 (25.97). Becker was second in the triple jump (11.21 meters) and sixth in the 100 hurdles (16.00).
Koschinya Jefferson was third in the 100 (12.16).
Isabella Myles was third in the 10K (38:25.59).
Sarah Gilliam was fourth in the hammer (47.37 meters.
Carly Yanek was fifth in the 400 (59.63) and
Layla Robertson was seventh in the 400 (1:00.10).
On the men's side,
Angelo Allen had three top three finishes. Angelo was first in the hammer (50.82 meters). He finished second in the shot put (15.64 meters) and third in the discus (47.13 meters).
Blaise Verrastro and
Malwandla Baloyi each had two top eight finishes. Baloyi was second in the high jump (1.93 meters) and seventh in the 110 hurdles (15.30). Verrastro was third in the 200 (21.86) and sixth in the 100 (11.10).
Cody Scherle was second in the javelin (55.04 meters).
Kaden Crump was third in the steeple chase (10:06.28).
Ben Hartman was fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.15).
Andrew Campbell was fifth in the 200 (21.98).
Ben Kissell was sixth in the pole vault (4.35 meters) and
Jacy Willis was seventh in the 200 (22.01).
SHU will take part in the Penn Relays and St Francis (PA) Flash Open next weekend.
