Seton Hill made the trip to Indiana (PA) for a PSAC West matchup with IUP on Wednesday afternoon.
IUP opened the scoring just under five minutes into the first quarter. SHU responded with a goal 33 seconds later by
Amara Forsyth that tied the score at one. A little over a minute later
Skylar Orlowski gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead. IUP answered back with two goals to take a 3-2 lead with 4:50 to play.
Ruby DePalma tied the score at three with a goal with 3:36 left in the quarter.
Mila Udovicic gave SHU a 4-3 lead just forty seconds into the second quarter. IUP responded with two goals to take a 5-4 lead with 12:55 remaining in the half.
Carley O'Mara tied the contest at five with a goal at the 11:14 mark. Udovicic put the Griffins back in front with a goal at the 7:07 mark of the quarter.
Grace Agnello and Orlowski scored just over a minute a part as they extended the Griffins lead to 8-5 with a minute to play before the half.
IUP opened the second half scoring with a goal just over a minute into the third quarter. Orlowski extended the lead back to three with a goal at the 10:51 mark. IUP cut the lead to two at 9-7 with a goal with 9:09 to play.
Ella Wroblewski pushed the lead back to three with a goal with 55 seconds to play in the quarter. IUP scored with nine seconds to play in the quarter to cut the lead to 10-8.
Orlowski opened the fourth quarter scoring with a goal at the 12:14 mark of the quarter. IUP responded with two straight to cut the lead to 11-10 with 8:27 to play. Orlowski then responded with two of her own to push the lead back to 13-10 with 4:43 to play.
Orlowski led the Griffins with six goals and an assist. Udovicic added a pair of goals. Agnello scored a goal and added an assist.
Allison Hathaway recorded 11 saves in net.
Makayla Kintner led the Griffins with five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
The Griffins will travel to Edinboro on Saturday as they continue PSAC West play.
