The Griffin tennis team played a pair of matches on Tuesday in Florida as part of their spring break.

SHU dropped the opening match of the day by a 5-2 score to Cedarville.  The Griffins were then defeated by Charleston (WV) 4-0 in a match that was called as soon as the Golden Eagles couldn't lose the match.

Against Cedarville, Carissa Shephard and Kasey Storkel won their doubles match by a 6-4 score.

Maria Pereda won 6-3, 6-3 in singles while Kendall McCluskey won 6-3, 6-3.  

In the UC match, Sophia Solomon and Kaylee Kanuka won their doubles match by a 6-2 score.

SHU concludes the spring trip against Minnesota Crookston on Wednesday.
